Our Leadership
James M. White was born in Joliet, Illinois. His parents relocated him to Houston, TX at a young age. James eventually graduated from Dwight D. Eisenhower High School in 1996. After high school he immediately enlisted in the United States Navy.
After his active enlistment he decided to enroll at San Jacinto Jr College in Pasadena, TX in the fall of 2000. He also re-enlisted in the Naval Reserve to be able to continue his career in the military part time. While in school he began working.
His first job was working with the afterschool program at the YMCA. There he monitored, participated in physical activity, and helped kids with homework. He also instructed basketball mini camps for the kids and refereed basketball games.
His second job was monitoring video surveillance at different sites across the country for Inter Star Systems Security Company. He then subsequently transitioned to a detention officer at Harris County Juvenile Detention Center, Houston, TX. From there he continued in corrections working for Corrections Corporation of America at the Houston Processing Center.
James is now a retired Navy veteran with 20 years of service, who served in the Persian Gulf War “Operation Desert Fox”. James passion for service subsequently led him to become a TX Peace Officer following his honorable discharge from the Navy. That road landed him a opportunity with law enforcement in 2008.
